There are a few things you can do to help get a more accurate facial scan:
- Ensure your camera is properly set up. If there are issues accessing your camera or smudges on your camera lens, the technology may have difficulty detecting your face.
- Ensure proper lighting. Make sure you do your scan in a reasonably well-lit area, with no excess glare or filters on your face.
- Avoid tilting the phone. A straight, head-on angle provides the most consistent and accurate scan.
- Make sure there is only one face in the frame. If there are multiple faces in the background of your scan, including in photos, this can sometimes result in an error.
- Remove any obstructions on your face. Although not strictly required, removing glasses, hats, or face masks can improve the overall accuracy of your scan.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may contact our support team at support@k-id.com.
Please provide screen shots of the error message or a short video (less than 30 seconds) demonstrating the issue for better troubleshooting assistance.
